"Trains" Centennial Issue, Back Cover, 1946         
Here is the back cover of the April 1946 issue of "Trains" magazine. Shown here is Frank Reilly's painting entitled "1846-1946." It was published originally in 1946. Depicted at the top (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5900, #5500, #6195, and #4904. #5900 is an EP-20 built by GM-EMD in September of 1945 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. #5500 is a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata in November of 1945 and retired in December of 1953. #6195 is a Q-2 (4-4-6-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata in June of 1945 and retired in January of 1956. #4904 is a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during May of 1940. Depicted at the bottom (L to R) are three vintage steam locomotives: 1831, 1864, and 1902. The one representing 1831 is the Camden & Amboy's "John Bull."
